About this game

SPAN is a daily word puzzle with one rule: each word starts with the last two letters of the word before it.

OCEAN → ANCHOR → ORCHID → IDEAL → ALCOVE → VESSEL

Every day brings a new span: a start word, an end word and four links to find between them. Everyone playing in the same language gets the same puzzle, and the next one opens at midnight.

THREE ROUNDS, NINETY SECONDS
• Spark (40s): pick the four links out of a pool of twelve words. Not every word in the pool leads anywhere.
• Flow (40s): type freely from where the span ended. Every word keeps the chain going and grows your multiplier, and rare words earn more Essence.
• Hunt (10s): one word, one attempt. Get it right and a card may drop into your Museum.

PURITY SCORE
Each day is scored out of 1000 for finishing the span, for speed and for a clean run, minus a penalty for any abilities you use.

YOUR ROOT
Every day you play grows your tree. A rare word played in Flow becomes a named branch, and every 90 days a season closes and adds a ring to the trunk. The root is purely cosmetic and gives no one an advantage.

BRANCHES
Grow a skill tree that changes what your abilities cost. No branch ever touches your Purity Score.

MUSEUM
Collect 36 cards across three shelves. Cards drop from the Hunt and from rare words you play for the first time.

FRIEND LEAGUE
Start a league, share the six-character code, and play on one table that resets every Monday, with a weekly head-to-head duel. A league needs a free account; the rest of the game works without one.

TWO LANGUAGES
Play in English or Turkish. Each language has its own dictionary, its own daily puzzle and its own leagues.
