Every place has a story. Tella tells it out loud, right where you are.
Tella is a GPS audio guide for the whole world. It finds the places around you, picks out what is worth knowing and talks you through it — a walking tour through an old town, or sightseeing at the wheel along a hundred kilometres of coast. Nothing to book, no route to follow.
ONE TAP, THEN HANDS-FREE
Tap the big button and Tella starts talking about the place you are standing in. Then put the phone away: the audio tour follows your GPS and speaks again on its own as new places come near, until you tap Stop. The controls are on your lock screen, and your recent stories are saved to hear again.
ON FOOT
In a dense old town — Rome, Prague, Kyoto — the stories come almost block by block: the square, the church, the odd little corner no guidebook bothers with. A self-guided walking tour that writes itself as you wander, with barely a pause in between.
BY CAR
At road speed Tella looks much further ahead, so it starts telling you about a place before you get there. Where the land empties out — the Highlands, the Pacific Coast Highway — it turns to the towns, rivers and hills outside the window.
ANYWHERE ON EARTH
Move the map or search for a place, then ask about it — with photos of what is nearby. It knows Paris, and it knows the village two valleys over: the same map covers both, on the road or from the sofa.
12 LANGUAGES
English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian, Arabic, Japanese, Korean and Chinese, each with a choice of voices. Switch language in the middle of a story and Tella tells it again in the new one.
REAL PLACES, PRIVATELY
The stories are written by AI from what Wikidata and OpenStreetMap know about your surroundings, with photos from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons.
