Most couples argue and many of the same little disputes arise in households everywhere. SPAT is a simple app concept that offers couples a fun and interactive way to resolve these disputes using the court of public opinion.



SPAT will welcome couples to each submit a brief summary of their perspective on it along with one image if needed to demonstrate the issue at hand. SPAT users will then vote on who is right and who is wrong so the couple can receive a definitive consensus on it.



Not only will couples use SPAT, it will also serve as a community discussion board on these topics – touching on issues that will surely resonate in households everywhere. And eventually, it will grow into a searchable database of public rulings on a broad assortment of typical disputes. Couples can then reference SPAT as disagreements surface to see if any similar issues have already played out.



The voting system is also easy, with users given 3 clear-cut choices:

o Blake is right
o Alex is right
o I can see both sides



SPAT’s fun and playful tone will kneel at the altar of rightness. As votes are continuously tabulated on a variety of quarrels, the homepage will feature "Daily SPATS" for the latest submitted, “Trending SPATS” for those garnering the most votes in the last 24 hours and "Rightest SPATS " for those who receive the highest percentage of votes during that time period.



Eventually even voters will have the chance to prove just how right they are as individual voting profiles will track what percentage the user ends up on correct side – assigning each with his or her own Rightness Rating. Those that rank in the Top 5% will be deemed the “Rightest of the Right” and carry the most currency on SPAT.



SPAT will leverage the public’s appetite for a glimpse into the lives of others while allowing them to share their opinion on what are certain to be common, polarizing issues among couples.
Then once the brand is established, SPAT can expand into other categories of discussion such as sports, politics, religion, parenting, civil rights, the environment…the list is endless. Before long, SPAT will become the place to go as the unquestioned arbiter of right and wrong.
