About this game

Welcome to Mesh Chess, a delightful Chess game for the open Meshtastic network! If you've played chess, then you'll feel right at home here. The purpose of this app is to demonstrate that the underlying low-bandwidth, long-range communications provided by LoRa can be used for more than just texting - they can make gaming more fun and interactive. And this is just the beginning; we have many more exciting features in store.
At SpecFive, we're dedicated to making mesh networks more practical, enjoyable, and user-friendly. This app marks the first step in that direction. While the concept, game logic, and user interface are entirely our creation, we owe a debt of gratitude to the existing Meshtastic app, available under GPL, which enabled us to integrate protocol connectivity and associated tasks seamlessly. In the spirit of open-source collaboration, we're also releasing this app under GPL.
