Spendomic is your smart personal finance companion built for real-world spend management. Get expense data through automated SMS scanning (currently finetuned for India) and/or manual entry, Create and manage your own categories, set budgets at overall and category level and get simple but insightful analytics. Jointly track expenses with your family or closed group through the family share feature. Get fine grained control on SMS data extraction and automated category mapping based on keywords. The app is free to use (ad supported) and also get a non-ad version at a nominal one-time lifetime use cost. The best part—all data is within your control locally in the app and accessible only to you and to no one else. Even with the family share enabled (via Google Cloud) access is restricted to the group members and controlled by the group owner.
Details of Key Features
• SMS Auto Import (Optimized for India currently): Detects bank and wallet transaction messages each time you open the app and presents the expenses for your review—no server sync, no privacy risk.
• SMS Manual Import: Keep auto mode turned off in settings. Use the manual SMS scan option.
• SMS Import Settings: Add keywords to fine tune the SMS import to include or exclude specific senders. Ensures you have control over SMSs accessed. Default SMS settings scan all India transaction data.
• Category Auto Learning: Based on your category edits of auto extracted expenses, the app learns the keywords and hence enables better auto category assignment for subsequent expenses.
• Manual Expense Addition: In settings you have the option to not grant SMS access. Easily add expenses manually from the home screen. Any expense can be manually edited and updated.
• Instant Categorization: Groups expenses into categories you have predefined like groceries, transport, dining, utilities, and more. Default categories can be created as per your need.
• Currency Selection: Set your currency in the settings to track expenses as per your local currency
• Budgets & Alerts: Set monthly limits, watch live progress bars, and spot overspending early with color-coded warnings.
• Powerful Analytics: Explore monthly and yearly charts, spending trends, and category breakdowns.
• Family Share: Create a closed group through Google sign in from the settings, invite family/group members via email. Share the group code for them to join and then simply sync your expenses. All members can now see a consolidated view. Perfect for tracking expenses in a household with multiple members. For individual use, it can also work as a simple backup of expense data.
• Import CSV Data: The import CSV feature makes it easy to import your data and seamlessly transition to using Spendomic.
• Export & Share: Export data in CSV to share with family, accountants, or your future self.
• Premium Upgrade (Ad-Free): One-time purchase removes all banner ads while keeping your data private on the device.

Current Limitations:
• Auto Expense extraction from SMS will work effectively for India. Other geos will be enabled in subsequent releases. All other features work across Geos.
• For Family Share ensure that all members are invited and added to the group before starting any sync activities.
• For importing data from CSV, it is advisable to place the file in google drive and import from there.
