When seconds matter, standard cloud backups are too slow for an emergency. Built-in app lockers are useless if a mugger forces you to unlock your device. You don't just need a backup; you need an ejection seat.
Welcome to ScuttlePod, a powerful app lock security overlay and anti-theft data rescue tool for users who want enterprise-grade protection.
š”ļø THE 4-PIN VAULT SYSTEM: Working in tandem with your device's native lock screen, ScuttlePod provides four specialized PINs:
⢠Master PIN: Full access to ScuttlePod and all app configurations.
⢠Guest PIN: Keeps restricted apps protected behind an overlay. You can hand your unlocked device to a friend, but the moment they tap a restricted app, the ScuttlePod overlay blocks them from using it.
⢠Panic-Backup PIN (Delay Tactic): Mimics a successful unlock to buy you time under pressure. While appearing unlocked, ScuttlePod silently uploads your selected folders to your personal cloud in the background. The moment an intruder attempts to tap a restricted app, the lock screen drops, forcing a decision: unlock or wipe.
⢠Panic-Wipe PIN: Triggers a customizable countdown (10 to 60 seconds). Only the Master PIN can abort it. This countdown survives device reboots; if an intruder restarts the device to stop it, the countdown resumes immediately when the device powers back up, executing the secure wipe.
š„ THE SCORCHED-EARTH WIPE: A standard delete only unlinks your files, leaving them intact on storage. ScuttlePod utilizes a multi-step erasure process:
⢠Byte-Level Overwriting: Every targeted file is overwritten, chunk by chunk, with secure random bytes that match the exact size of the file, replacing the original data.
⢠Metadata Scrambling: To leave no trace of sensitive names, ScuttlePod renames your files and folders to randomized 6-digit numbers before executing the final delete command. (Note: This excludes system-protected or volume root folders).
š² EMERGENCY TRIGGERS:
⢠Notification Interceptor: Trigger a remote wipe or backup by sending your secret keyword from another device. ScuttlePod intercepts and hides the incoming notification, executing the backup first. If the device is offline or if the connection drops mid-upload, ScuttlePod immediately aborts the backup and executes the secure wipe to prioritize your privacy. (Note: Your receiving messaging app must have its system notifications enabled for ScuttlePod to intercept the keyword).
⢠The Cloud Canary: Device turned off? Log into your Google Drive or Dropbox from another device and delete the [SCUTTLEPOD_CANARY] - TRASH TO WIPE PHONE.txt file. The second the stolen device connects online, ScuttlePod detects the missing file, starts the backup, and wipes your selected folders.
⢠Dead Man's Switch: If you do not unlock your device for a set period (7, 14, 30, or 90 days), ScuttlePod safely uploads your folders and permanently disables the trigger. It checks directly with Google's UTC servers to prevent accidental backup caused by system clock drift or battery drain.
šø INTRUDER LOGS
If an incorrect PIN is entered on the overlay, ScuttlePod silently captures a photo using both front and back cameras. It logs the time and attempted access point. All logs and photos are saved in ScuttlePodās private internal sandbox, completely hidden from the system photo gallery and protected by Androidās hardware-level encryption.
š 100% PRIVATE (BRING YOUR OWN CLOUD)
I have absolutely no access to your files, keys, or credentials. Utilizing a "Bring Your Own Cloud" model, your files stream directly and securely from your device to your personal Google Drive or Dropbox account.
āæ ACCESSIBILITY USAGE (DISCLOSURE)
