Rama is one of the many popular deities in Hinduism. Rama was born as the eldest son of Kaushalya and Dasharatha, ruler of Ayodhya Kingdom. His wife Sita is considered by Hindus to be an avatar of Lakshmi and the embodiment of a great woman.Rama's life and journey is one of adherence to dharma despite harsh tests and obstacles and many pains of life and time. Rama was Lord Hari Himself incarnate on earth for the destruction of Ravana.

RAMA naama is given the magnitude similar to that of Pranava manthra OM (AUM) that has links to all other hymns (Manthras) that ever exist. It is an essence of all Vedas, Shastras, Ithihasas and Puranas. The word Rama has the triple power of destroying sins, conferring peace, and dispelling ignorance. Worship of Lord Rama increases will power and self-esteem.The mere chanting of Rama nama yields astounding benefits. "Sri Rama" (Sri-yin, Rama-yang) chanting ensures proper blood circulation and general good health.

This application is in devotion towards Lord Sri Rama. It has the below slokas and manthras in Hindi and English with audio. The audio helps to learn the mantra pronunciation.

1) Shri Rama Ashtotharam
2) Eka Slokam Ramayanam
3) Shri Rama Sahasra Nama
4) Shri Rama Manthra
5) Shri Rama Gayathri Manthra

All these slokas and manthras can be chanted everyday. Saturdays are very auspicious for Shri Rama. Shri Rama Navami festival marks the birth of Rama.

Ashtotharam or Ashtotharasathanamavali are generally 100 or more names venerating the deity, in this application it is Shri Rama. Ashtotharams are chanted while offering flowers to the deity during daily pooja. One can chant Sri Rama ashtotharam during pooja everyday.
