Sudoku is a modern number puzzle app with a clean design, relaxing background music and everything you need to get better at the game, not just play it. Every puzzle has exactly one solution and can be solved by pure logic, with no guessing at any point. The idea behind sudoku is older than it looks. Latin squares were studied by Leonhard Euler in the 18th century, the modern puzzle appeared in 1979 under the name Number Place, and Japan gave it the name we all use today. In 2004 it reached the newspapers of London, and from there the whole world. There are 6,670,903,752,021,072,936,960 different completed grids, and a proper puzzle needs at least 17 clues, a fact that took mathematicians until 2012 to prove. In many languages the name is written differently: Sudoku, 数独, 스도쿠, Судоку, सुडोकू, سودوكو, סודוקו, Σουντόκου. The grid, though, is the same everywhere.
