Updating: As others mentioned, the number of ads has greatly increased. They are fairly short, but there is no way to close it when it's done. I have to get out of the app and get back in. Additionally, the screen goes black after a game ends, and I don't get to see my results. I end up having to back out to a previous screen. Otherwise, I love these games! So much variety of trivia and puzzles. Some are just plain fun and not as serious as memorizing countries, for example.

I have been using and enjoying Sporcle for over 3 years, and recommending it to others. Not only do I enjoy the quizzes, but I appreciated that ads weren't overwhelming like they are in so many other game apps. Lately I have had an increase in ads, including ads that appear WHILE I am doing a quiz 🤦🏻‍♀️ I am really disappointed in these changes and hope Sporcle doesn't go from fun to yet another obnoxious ad stream disguised as a game platform.

I'm so disappointed in this app. I've been playing sporcle before it was even a phone app. It's something I love doing with a group of friends. I've had both versions of this app. I hated when they added the ads but they jumped on the bandwagon like everyone else and its whatever. Now, it's ridiculous. I willingly go to watch an ad to play a certain quiz and the ad won't even load. I'm so bummed to lose a favorite past time but it's not even worth it.
