Sporty’s Pilot Shop, the world’s largest pilot shop, brings you the E6B Flight Computer - now for Android phones AND tablets!

This powerful app includes all the features of Sporty's traditional E6B, including 23 aviation functions, 18 conversions and complete timer features.

The app's user-friendly design makes calculations fast and easy. Each function can be selected from a plain English list, and the app prompts the user for information as it goes. Plus, entries are saved from previous calculations, so there's no need to re-enter data. Calculating weight and balance is especially easy, with a dedicated page for adding new passengers, fuel or baggage.

Sporty's E6B app makes quick work of navigational, weight and balance, or fuel problems, and is a favorite of student pilots. But it also includes a number of features that are useful for experienced pilots, like Top of Descent, Specific Range and Planned Mach #.

The timer can be set to count up or count down, so it is perfect for timing approaches, holds or switching fuel tanks. There is also a clock function that shows Home, Local and Zulu time.

Ratings and reviews

Love the app. But, it would be nice to have a gap between the bottom of the number input section and the bottom menu bar. Hitting the 'conversions' button when trying to enter a '0' is a common occurrence. It's really annoying to then have to click around to get back to what you were doing.

A better alternative than using the analog E6B but it's buggy and built with not a lot of user friendly features. For example, the calculator doesn't work. It asks you to install some random calculator from the app store but then still gives you an error when launching. And there is no clear feature so if you want to start a whole new calculation you have to clear each field.

So far most of it is good. The pressure and density altitude doesn't give the correct answers though. The sportys ppl course example gives an answer of pressure altitude 926 feet and density altitude 167 feet while the sportys app says the pressure is 927 feet and the density is 187 feet with the same exact example
