Our nature drives Hochschaubahn. Once spring in the middle of winter, then cold spells until May. For nature and climate research, it is becoming more and more important to know when the plants start to flower, fruit or discard the leaves and the animals are active. With the app you can photograph animals and plants, register what they are doing and help with your observations of science.
Each of your spots, every observation and every photo will make a valuable contribution to nature and climate research in Upper Austria, Austria and around the world. Because your observations flow into the European phenological database, which is supervised by the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics. This makes them usable for climate researchers around the world.
With each spot you also support the nature park schools of Upper Austria, which in the project "Naturkalender Naturparke Oberösterreich" on specially planted hedges look very closely at the natural development of Upper Austria. More about the project and all observations can be found at www.naturkalender-oberoesterreich.at.
Naturkalender Oberösterreich runs on the Citizen Science platform SPOTTERON
