Spotty reads the ingredient list so you don't have to.
Point your camera at any skincare product - cleanser, serum, sunscreen, shampoo, even toothpaste - and Spotty breaks down every ingredient, scores the formula from 1 to 5, and tells you in plain language what it is actually likely to do for your skin.
WHAT SPOTTY DOES
Scan any product
Snap the ingredient label. Spotty identifies the product, reads the full INCI list and gives you an overall score in seconds. Products nobody has scanned yet get researched and added automatically, so the next scan is instant.
Every ingredient, explained
Tap any ingredient to see what it is for, what it is good at, and what to watch out for - written for humans, not chemists. Colour-coded chips let you spot the good stuff and the red flags at a glance.
Judged by how you would actually use it
A shampoo should not be judged like a face serum. Spotty rates ingredients by use context - skin, hair and scalp, oral care - so an ingredient that is a concern in one context does not wrongly sink a product in another.
Personalised to your skin
Answer a short skin questionnaire - type, concerns, sensitivities - and get a compatibility read on whether a product is likely to suit you specifically, not just an average person.
Ask the skincare assistant
Confused about mixing retinol with acids? Not sure what to use for pigmentation? Ask in plain English and get a clear answer that takes your scans and your skin profile into account.
Track your skin over time
Take a skin check with your camera and keep a private timeline, so you can see whether a routine is working instead of guessing.
UV and air quality where you are
Live UV index and air-quality readings for your location, so you know when SPF genuinely matters.
WHY PEOPLE USE SPOTTY
- Cut through marketing claims. "Clean", "natural" and "gentle" mean nothing on their own - the ingredient list does not lie.
- Stop paying for products that were never going to work for your skin.
- Check something in the shop aisle before you buy it.
- Work out which ingredient in your routine is behind a reaction.
- Build a routine you actually understand.
HOW THE SCORE WORKS
Spotty does not just count "bad" ingredients. Each one is rated on proven benefit and on risk - irritation, sensitisation and genuine safety concerns - and ingredients higher up the list count for more, because that is where the concentration is. Ingredients with serious documented hazards cap a product's score no matter how good the rest of the formula looks. A long ingredient list is not punished simply for being long, and a strong active is not punished for being potent.
