Astera

About this app

Astera keeps the reason you started, in your own voice, and brings it back on the mornings you need it.

Answer nine questions about what you are building and why. Speak them or write them, whichever suits you. Nothing is compulsory, and you can leave any of them open.

What it does with them

A reminder at a time you choose, on the days you choose, carrying one of your own lines rather than a slogan from a stranger.

A home screen widget showing the line you are living by. Set it to the words, or to the star alone if you would rather nobody read it over your shoulder.

Quotes, if you want them. Thirteen packs and 112 lines out of the public domain: the Stoics, scripture, the Tao and the Dhammapada, Emerson, the speeches. Mix them in at the rate you set, or turn them off.

A rotation that does not repeat itself. Nothing comes round again while something you have not heard is still waiting.

Sign in with a six digit code sent to your email. There is no password to remember.

Astera is free. There is nothing to buy inside it and no advertising.

Your recordings are yours. Delete your account and everything in it from inside the app, at any time.

Astera is the companion to the Astera journal at asterajournal.com.
