About this game

"Alphabear: Words Across Time" is an English word puzzle game and is the grand sequel to Google Play's 2016 "Standout Indie" award-winner!

You spell English words by selecting letters on a puzzle grid. When you spell words out of letters that are adjacent to each other, bears appear! The more letters you use, the bigger the bear gets, and the more points you earn. Spelling words cleverly is the key to success!

Collect Bears:

When you solve the word puzzles, you'll earn new bears for your permanent collection. These bears increase the points you earn from spelling words, extend your timer, modify the game board to your advantage, and more.

Bear humor:

Words you spell will appear in funny cartoons after each game that you play. This sequel has hundreds of all-new templates, cartoon backgrounds and props. The hilarious possibilities are endless!

Dictionary:

A dynamic dictionary and other new features make this game a great way to learn new words and have fun while doing it. With tens of thousand of words in our word lists, you're bound to stumble on a new word now and then.

So what are you waiting for? The best word puzzle game of 2018 awaits! :-)

Ratings and reviews

I loved Alphabear, but Alphabear 2 blew away my expectations. Adding a quirky story, new bears to collect, power ups, challenges, and bear-dress up - what more could you want! I'm also impressed with the way they handled ads - I don't mind watching 3 short videos for hours of bonuses in-game. I hope they add more cute (and femme) bear-costumes in updates, but otherwise I don't have any suggestions or complaints. This game is addictive, relaxing, and fun.

Fun game, actually learned a few words that were new to me. As it is a game I play for a few minutes at a time, I have not run in to the "no unlimited honey purchase available" issue. Though I can understand the frustration some users may feel because of that, if you play the game in short sessions like I do, you will most likely never notice it.

I originally rated this one five stars, but now that I'm further in I've become very disappointed. Story missions eventually get gated behind having bears of high enough level and rarity, and you can only raise them so much in a given day - unless of course you use micro transactions. I bought the ad bundle, but I refuse to buy more boots, and because of that I've been stuck with insufficient score multipliers to advance the game for several days. Lame.
