Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions has arrived for GooglePlay!

Released as the Final Fantasy series' first tactical RPG in 1997, Final Fantasy Tactics on Playstation went on to sell over 2.4 million copies worldwide. The game grew in popularity upon its re-release in 2007 as Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions for the PSP with added features such as new movies, scenarios and Jobs.

You can enjoy the game whose story gave life to the world of Ivalice, and whose high strategy battles bring tactical games to a whole new level.

- Intuitive Touch Screen Controls
The complex tactical game can be effortlessly and intuitively controlled by simply tapping units and menus. Gone is the old method of switching fixed map views - you can now rotate, move and change the size of maps as you please by sliding and pinching.

- Improved Loading Times
Loading times have been improved to get you into the action quicker than ever. What's more, you can even skip certain cut scenes.

Ratings and reviews

I LOVE this game and being able to play it on my phone is a delight. The touch controls can take a bit of getting used to, but are generally very smooth and intuitive. If I could change one thing, Id add back the multiplayer, but that will never happen. But my next pick would be Save File management. If you accidentally create an alternate save file you just gotta live with it or wipe all your save data. Not a huge deal, but bloats the UI a bit. Then this would be PERFECT.

Are you serious? I just opened my game after a while of not playing and my saved slot is gone. Just gone. I paid for this, put hours into it, saved constantly and was able to leave and come back no problem but now, my progress is just gone. Update: It's been 7 years since my review. The app crashed recently and I did everything I could to get it to work but it would not open. So I was left with one option, delete the game and re-download. Lost my save file yet again.

66 hours...66 hours I've put into this game so far... And only just now did I learn I could swipe right on the options menu to lower music and sound. I tend to play with YouTube or Twitch in the corner, and the game would often drown out the music.. For the actual game itself, AMAZING. I've attempted this game several times in the past, but would always lose interest or get busy with life. This time the game has clicked for me. I'm in the post game right now, just maxing jobs. I'm hooked.
