Meet your child’s new Blob companion — a gooey, wobbly character that reacts to their progress and encourages them through everyday routines.

SquishBlob turns daily tasks into a simple, interactive experience for children and parents. From the moment your child hatches their own Blob, they can name it, choose its colour, and build a routine around completing tasks, earning Gloop Coins, and working towards parent-set rewards.

## How it works

**Hatch a Blob** — Each child gets their own Blob to name and personalise in their favourite colour.

**Complete daily quests** — Parents create simple, age-appropriate tasks such as making the bed, reading, tidying up, helping around the house, or being kind to a sibling.

**Earn Gloop Coins** — Completing tasks adds Gloop Coins to the child’s Gloop jar. Gloop Coins are virtual points used only within SquishBlob and have no real-world monetary value.

**Redeem parent-set rewards** — Children can use their Gloop Coins towards rewards created by their parent, such as a movie night, extra screen time, a favourite meal, or another family-approved reward. Every redemption requires parent approval.

SquishBlob includes a PIN-protected Parent Dashboard that allows parents to:

* Choose which tasks are available
* Set how many Gloop Coins each task is worth
* Create and manage rewards
* Approve reward redemptions
* Track progress, streaks, and effort over time
* Adjust tasks and rewards as routines change

## Designed for families

**Parent-managed subscription** — Children cannot purchase items within the app. Subscription management is handled by the parent through Google Play.

**Streak Shield** — Missing a day does not have to reset all previous progress. Streak Shield helps children continue their routine after an interrupted day.

**Designed for young users** — SquishBlob uses bright, friendly visuals, simple interactions, and encouraging language suitable for children.

**Positive reinforcement** — The app is designed around recognising effort, celebrating small achievements, and encouraging consistency over time.
