The first stage of the Level 1 Electrical Construction Management Engineer examination requires you to answer 60 out of 89 questions. Since you'll need to choose 14 questions from 32 on electrical equipment alone, deciding beforehand whether you'll focus on substations/internal wiring, or also include power generation/transmission/distribution and railway/communications will prevent confusion during the actual exam. To pass, you need to answer 36 questions correctly overall, plus 3 out of 6 questions correctly in the afternoon's Construction Management Methods (Applied Ability) section. This app contains 727 questions from the 8th examination (2019-2026), and for every question, it includes the reasoning behind the correct answer and explains why the other options are incorrect.
■ Strategies for this Exam
- Strategy for Multiple-Choice Questions: The five sections—Electrical Engineering (4 out of 6 questions), Electrical Equipment (14 out of 32 questions), Related Fields (5 out of 8 questions), Construction (6 out of 9 questions), and Regulations (10 out of 13 questions)—are divided into "Primary," "Backup," and "Later" categories based on the correct answer rate for each section.
- The Home Pass Criteria Card has two meters: "Overall 36/60" and "Applied Ability 3/6." This shows how many questions are needed in each section, allowing you to solve 10 questions each for applied ability.
- The Mock Exam follows the format from 2024 onwards, with 150 minutes in the morning and 120 minutes in the afternoon. You cannot select more sections than specified, and the results are displayed with two criteria and the number of correct answers in each section.
- Project Schedule Lab: You can repeatedly calculate the critical path and float of network project schedules, which also appear in the applied ability section, and the output of bar charts, by changing the numbers.
- Circuit and diagram symbols are displayed together with the questions. Practice sessions from the 92-question format prior to fiscal year 2023, maintaining the original number of choices and organized by year.
