About this app

We’ve made a technology upgrade to our mobile app. In order for the app to continue working, and to avoid any connection issues, it’s important to make sure you’ve downloaded the latest version. If you have any issues, please let us know at mobile-app@standardlife.com

The Standard Life app includes great features which can help you manage your money on the go.

Our App provides the ability to:
- Manage your pension payments: increase, setup, stop & reduce
- Top up your pension
- View recent transactions
- View the value of your plan(s), fund performance and daily fund changes
- Manage your beneficiaries
- Update your retirement date
- Transfer in other pensions
- Change your investments
- Withdraw cash if aged 55 or over
- View charges & discounts on your pension plan

Send and receive secure messages with attachments via the mailbox and there is an option to be notified when you receive a new message.

Getting started
You must be a customer with us to use the App. If you are not registered for online servicing you can do this on the App. Once you are logged in you can choose to set a passcode, fingerprint or facial recognition if your device allows.

Additional information

The Standard Life app is not available for WRAP products and Aberdeen Standard Capital customers.

Some With Profits Policies, along with some of our Bonds and Investment Fund products cannot be viewed.

Transferring other pensions won’t be right for everyone.

Payments and withdrawals:
Not all products support payments through the app and you may be prompted to contact us or your employer if you have a workplace pension. Any changes to regular payments will come from the bank account that you have set up with us.

When making payments, topping up or amending a regular payment it’s important to note that investment returns aren't guaranteed. The value of your investment can go down as well as up and may be worth less than you paid in.

I have several pensions and the digital management varies vastly across the different providers my investments are with. The Standard Life app has a simple and intuitive format and is by far the best out of the 4 that I have used. I also found the website similarly well designed when I was using that previously

You must re-enter your login and password each time you open the app. If you open it from a browser, you don't have to, because Chrome or any other browser remembers your password. So, the app is not very practical if your password is complicated or long. It incites you to use a simpler password that you can remember, so it's less than ideal. Pass the login, the app seems to work as the Chrome one, maybe clearer. Update: Thank you, Biometrics finally works after the last app update today.

Hi Pat, thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it. We understand it's frustrating, but Chrome's password manager can't be used inside the app. To make signing in quicker, the app does support biometric login so you can sign in without entering your details each time. To set this up you can go to your profile, then login settings.

This app used to work fine, for the three years I've used it, until about two months ago. Now logging in fails nine times out of ten. I've given feedback to them and, of course, heard nothing. Testing before a release is a basic thing you should get right. Or at least reply to a user on such an important class of app :(
