About this game

Star Shaft is a fast, one-thumb cosmic comet-diver.

Your comet plunges down a shaft of three star-lanes through deep space while the field of rocks rushes up to meet you. Nebula clouds glow violet and pink, stardust drifts in the dark, and asteroids keep coming. Tap the LEFT half of the screen to slide one lane left, tap the RIGHT half to slide one lane right -- shift shafts at the last split-second to slip past the rocks. Big red asteroids can only be dodged by being in a different lane. Small amber meteor shards skim low across the lane: swipe UP to arc the comet over them and drop back onto its path. Slam into anything and you burn a star of life.

Gold stardust glimmers in the open lanes. Line your comet up and streak straight through it for bonus points, and gather the count each shaft needs to chart it. The deeper you fall the faster the field flings by and the tighter the asteroids pack, so read the space ahead, pick your lane early, and time every leap. Chart all ten hand-tuned shafts and chase a new best dive on every one.
