🔑 PERMISSIONS EXPLAINED & TRANSPARENCY

We believe in complete transparency. To function as an on-device compiler analysis tool, FrameX requires the following permissions, processed 100% locally:

1. QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES (Query All Packages):
Required core permission to list and index installed applications on your device, allowing framework scanning and APK extraction. All scans run strictly in-memory.

2. PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS (Usage Access):
An optional permission used solely to calculate exact storage metrics (App, Data, and Cache size) for scanned packages. It requires manual user authorisation and is processed entirely locally.

3. WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE:
Used exclusively on legacy devices (Android 9 / API 28 and below) to allow exporting extracted APK files to your device's public storage folders.
