About this app

Pro mode adds:
* Night mode for using the app outside with your telescope
* Custom Telescope and Eyepiece entry so the view matches your gear
* Light Pollution Setting so the stars in the sky are similar to where you are
* Custom Hops so you can practice hopping to anything, even things like comets
* Progress report to show which hops you have done and whether you had all the hints off or not

You have a new telescope. You go out on the first dark and clear night since you bought it (usually weeks!) and go to find things to look at and spend hours and only find a few. This was my experience when I got my first non-computerized telescope.

Star hopping is the skill of learning to find telescope targets by following patterns in the stars to get to the object. This app helps to teach those skills so that the time you get out with the telescope is more productive.

Select one of the targets from the menu. Then open your star chart to the same area of the sky. Find the starting star and orient your chart to match the stars in the view. Then look for the patterns to point you in the right direction to get towards the target.

There are hints to help you, like showing your current location and showing progress.

So I hope this can help you get better quality time out of your telescope when outside.
