*Romance of the Three Kingdoms: Pixel Heroes* is an 8-bit style single-player turn-based RPG that brings the entire Romance of the Three Kingdoms to life through a story you can play.
■ Play and Read the Romance Simultaneously: From the first chapter, "The Three Heroes Swear Brotherhood in the Peach Garden," to "The Fall of the Great Star: The Return of the Han Prime Minister," there are 53 chapters and 54 episodes. Dialogue is faithful to the original text, and each character has a pixelated portrait; the "Romance Review" feature allows you to easily access the original text of previously played episodes.
■ 41 Hand-Drawn Pixel Maps: Zhuoxian, Hulao Pass, Xuzhou, Xuchang, Changban Slope, Chibi, Wuzhang Plains… each map is not a straight line; there are forks in the road, rivers, cities, and camps, and people to talk to everywhere. The bosses at each level stand on the map; entering their area immediately triggers a battle, with pre- and post-battle animations—Lu Bu charging down the pass, Zhang Fei's shout at Changban Bridge, Zhuge Liang borrowing arrows with straw boats.
41 Hand-Drawn Pixel Maps ■ Turn-based combat, up to 6 vs 6
136 enemy generals, each with their own unique character portrait: Lu Bu on Red Hare, Zhao Yun on White Horse, and Guan Yu's portrait will also feature him mounted after acquiring Red Hare. Features include skills, buffs, ambushes, enemy reinforcement waves, turn-limited battles (such as the Three Drums at the Ancient City), and instant victory by winning the turn (like the Borrowing Arrows with Straw Boats).
■ 22 generals, 163 skills
Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, Zhuge Liang, Huang Zhong, Ma Chao, Wei Yan, Jiang Wei… Level cap 99, skills up to level 60. Teams can split and reunite: Guan Yu's solo journey and Zhao Yun's rescue of Guan Yu at Changban Slope are shown on the map. After Guan Yu and Zhang Fei's deaths, their will is passed on to those who remain.
■ Single-player, ad-free
The first ten chapters are free to play; afterwards, you can purchase all chapters in-game. Saves are on your device; no account is required. The phone has virtual directional keys and buttons, allowing for one-handed operation in portrait mode.
