About this game

Gear Align is a match-3 puzzle game set in a steampunk mechanical workshop. Swap adjacent tiles on an 8×8 grid to line up three or more of the same symbol in a row or column. Matched tiles vanish at once, new ones drop from above, and your score grows with every combo. The atmosphere is industrial and refined: bronze, brass, and dark metal tones, with no cartoon style, flashy effects, or animations—just clear, tactical play.

The game offers sixty handcrafted levels with increasing difficulty. The first fifteen focus on simple score targets; the next fifteen add strict move limits so you must plan each swap. Levels 31–45 ask you to collect a set number of specific items (gears, compasses, clocks, and more) while still hitting a score goal. The final fifteen mix tight move limits, high score requirements, and collection tasks for a serious challenge. Levels unlock one by one, and you can replay any completed level from the level select screen.

Every level is designed so that after each move the board always has at least two possible matches. If a refill would leave the player stuck, the board is reshuffled instantly—no dead ends, no unfair boards. Tiles use a set of steampunk-style symbols: gears, compasses, clocks, bolts, wrenches, chains, crystals, and furnaces. Matches of four or five award bonus points; six or more give an even bigger multiplier, encouraging bold, long chains.

Progress is saved locally with Hive: completed levels, star ratings, high scores, and unlocked achievements. You can collect over fifteen achievements, from “First Gear” and “Master Engineer” to “Perfect Efficiency” and “Perfectionist.” Settings let you switch sound on or off and choose a theme: Brass, Iron, or Midnight Steel. A one-time welcome screen leads into the main menu, where you can jump into the next level, open level select, view achievements, or adjust settings.

The result is a production-ready, no-nonsense match-3 with a consistent steampunk look, sixty levels, guaranteed playable boards, and full persistence—ideal for store listings, pitch documents, or briefs for art and design.
