About this app

AV Sync helps you correct Audio Video timing errors by analyzing a test signal - which consists of a short, synchonized flash and beep, an example of which can be found here.

It includes a Test Signal Generator tool, which can be used to correct delay in live applications.

I felt I had to review this after seeing some of the negative comments here from people that did not seem to understand the purpose of this app. I've had very good results using this app to set the audio delay on my home theater system. I need it because 24p film content has increased delay vs. standard 60hz content on my TV. Used in combination with the Spears & Munsil HD disc's av sync pattern, the app tells me to delay audio by about 120ms. I plug it into the receiver and all is good.

It actually works! Thank you! I would like to see a 60hz option in your YouTube video and maybe HDR/SDR as well as these could have different delays and could make it more accurate? Also maybe a longer, downloadable version for devices that don't have YouTube built in (my Blu ray player only had usb). A tip I found is to go right up to the screen while calibrating as it removes any variation like another review stated. Overall this is perfect.

Even though the app is old and doesn't have a lot of downloads, it worked perfectly for my use case. I had to sync my tv audio, and i used this app and the test chanel on my tv and got a good measurement of the delay. Thanks to the person who made this app!
