Speech Notes turns what you say into text that can be edited, copied, and saved.

Press the microphone button and start speaking. The words appear on the screen while you're still speaking. Once you stop, the transcript is saved—no export steps and no processing time.

PRIVACY

Speech Notes has no accounts, no logins, no ads, and no analytics. Your folders and transcripts are stored in the app's private storage on your device, and nothing is sent to the developer.

This app doesn't record or store audio files, and it doesn't request internet permissions. Speech recognition is performed by your Android device's built-in services, not by us.

Please note: when offline mode is turned off, these system services can send your voice to their providers for processing, much like the voice typing feature on your keyboard. Turning on offline mode requires recognition to be performed on-device. Availability depends on your Android version and installed language packs, and accuracy on-device is typically lower—which is why this setting is off by default.

REQUIREMENTS

- Android 7.0 or later
- Device speech recognition service (present on almost all Android phones)
- Microphone permission, requested the first time you transcribe

Speech Notes doesn't summarize or rewrite your text. It transcribes what you say, as accurately as possible, and then stays out of the way.
