StoneArchive is a multilingual digital platform designed for international use, aiming to create an inventory of natural stones used in historical buildings. The platform presents its findings through iOS and Android mobile applications and a web portal.

StoneArchive aims to explore the history of stone across a wide range of structures, from ancient stone building typologies to magnificent buildings of the recent past, using an interdisciplinary approach.

The platform offers the opportunity to virtually tour and learn about the stones used in historical buildings, which are part of cultural heritage, obtain information about their general and technical characteristics and the quarries from which they were sourced, and discover and track the different structures where a particular stone was used, as well as the use of the same stone in different structures. It also conveys scientific research from various fields of expertise, from archaeology and geology to architectural design, conservation, art history, and building materials, through articles, interviews, and news.

Bringing together experts and end-users interested in stone, StoneArchive offers the most modern way to get to know historical buildings more closely. You can easily experience this, whether from your location or inside the buildings, and if you wish, with the help of narrated texts.

StoneArchive; It aims to be a reference source for architects, interior designers, restorers-conservators, conservation specialists, mining and civil engineers, geologists, archaeologists, art historians, students and academics from all these disciplines, natural stone industry professionals, building materials specialists, history enthusiasts, and anyone interested in natural stone.

The platform, which began its publication life with important historical structures located in Istanbul's Historical Peninsula, plans to expand its content with user suggestions and contributions without any geographical limitations.
