Finishing your novel all starts with a plan.
The Storyfolk Novel Planner App is designed for writers who want an easy-to-use planning tool that makes novel planning fun! This app gently guides your through planning and organizing your plot, works, magic system, and characters.
*Please note this app is currently for the fantasy genre, but we plan on making it available to other genres in the future!*
Story Development:
- Craft your story blurb, plot outline, and key details with guided prompts.
- Outline chapters and their key scenes into an organized timeline.
- Set and track your word count.
- Mark your project’s status (Planning, Drafting, Editing, Published, etc.).
- Export your entire story plan. The interior pages are pre-formatted so you can print out your own guidebook!
Character Builder:
- Assign each character a role, archetype, and personal goal.
- Flesh out their appearance, backstory, and quirks.
- Map their character arc for deeper storytelling.
- Create a romance arc for characters marked as a "love interest".
- Explore how your villains became villains & assign them a badness level.
World-Building:
- Design settings ranging from ships to small villages or entire realms and oceans.
- Use prompts to explore history, culture, politics, and society.
- Tie locations together and assign locations to characters and fauna.
Fauna Field Guide:
- Log your world’s races, creatures, and species.
- Define their appearance, behaviour, environment, and habitats.
Magic System:
- Build a structured magic system with clear rules and limitations.
- Develop spells, curses, mystical artifacts, deities, lore, and more.
- Rank each magical element from Trivial to All Powerful.
Additional Details:
- Your story information is your own, we do not access your data or information.
- Works on your phone or tablet. Currently does not support account sharing across devices.
- No wifi required, so do your story planning anywhere! Data is locally stored on your own device.
