About this game

Strapcheck walks you through a structured safety inspection of your helmet and keeps a record of every check you make.

THE 11-POINT INSPECTION
Eleven checks across four steps:

Fit — the helmet sits comfortably snug, level and low on the forehead a finger or two above the eyebrows, and stays anchored when you nod and shake your head.

Straps — the side straps form a 'V' just below each ear, the buckle clicks home and holds when pulled, and only one or two fingers fit between your chin and the strap.

Shell and foam — no cracks, gashes or sun-brittle patches in the outer shell, no hairline cracks or collapsed areas in the EPS liner, and no separation between shell and foam.

Age and history — under five years old, and never involved in a crash.

Each check explains what to look for, and a verdict updates live as you answer. Failing a structural check — shell, foam, bonding or a past impact — flags the helmet for immediate replacement. Failing a fit or strap check flags it for adjustment instead.

HELMET PROFILES
Add each helmet with a nickname, brand, type (bike, scooter, skate or sports) and its manufacture month and year. Strapcheck works out the helmet's age and marks it as expired once it reaches five years.

INSPECTION HISTORY
Save every inspection with your own notes, then reopen it later to see exactly which checks passed and which failed, and when.

QUICK CHECK
Run the same eleven checks without saving anything — handy for a friend's helmet or a fast look-over before heading out.

REPORT A CRASH
One tap permanently marks a helmet as crashed. EPS foam is designed to absorb a single impact, so from then on that helmet is flagged for replacement.

SAFETY GUIDE
A built-in explainer covering the 2-2-2 fit rule, why helmets expire over time, and the single-impact principle.

COMPLETELY OFFLINE
No account, no sign-up, and no internet permission at all. Your helmets and inspections stay in a local database on your device. No ads, no analytics, no tracking.

Strapcheck is a self-inspection aid. It does not replace the manufacturer's instructions, a safety certification, or an assessment by a qualified professional. If you are unsure about a helmet, replace it.
