StreetCrowd is a technology platform that connects people to share mobility and micro-mobility companies. The goal is to help more people in cities get access to safe, clean, and reliable shared mobility options.

HOW IT WORKS

StreetCrowd users get paid to complete tasks for shared mobility providers. The main task focuses on driving shared cars from areas of low demand to high demand. Besides relocating cars, other options can include; electric car or scooter charging, cleaning, and other service tasks depending on your chosen provider. You will receive cash and shared mobility credits for each moved car, as well as other bonuses that you can earn on top of that.

SIMPLE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

1. Download our app and complete the registration process.
2. Once your StreetCrowd and shared mobility provider accounts are approved, you’re ready to drive!
3. In the app, locate the nearest car to you.
4. Choose one of the three different destinations.
5. Open the car.
6. Drive the car directly to any location within the zone.
7. End trip and lock the car.
8. Get paid.

I really appreciate the idea, but the business feels like an early startup that got a big contract without having built out the technology first. They're making it better, but it's really rough so far. StreetCrowd will be useful depending where you live, but returning cars is not worthwhile as a side-gig. My experience in Vancouver is that over 1/3 of the cars I travel to will disappear from the app by the time I reach the car. If you bike or transit just to return cars, expect to make $3-5/hr.

Every time the app updates, it claims my email is not verified (it is). And every time I resend the verification email, it takes ages to show up, and then claims I'm still not verified. Awful experience.

bad support. app is buggy. support email just bounced, and I can't get a reply from them.

What’s new

This update contains a hotfix to tackle an issue on certain devices, where the link to verify an email-address didn't work properly when it was opened on the same device where the app is installed on.
