In Sudoku Master, the player is presented with a partially filled 9×9 grid containing digits from 1 to 9. The objective is to complete the empty cells so that every row, every column, and every 3×3 block contains each digit exactly once. The experience focuses on pure logic and disciplined thinking, offering a single carefully balanced difficulty level that provides a consistent intellectual challenge.

Input is direct and intuitive. Players select a cell and choose a number to place inside it. There is no note-taking feature, encouraging deliberate decisions rather than layered annotations. Every placement matters. To maintain structure and thoughtful pacing, the game includes a three-mistake limit, displayed through a clear lives indicator. After three incorrect entries, the round ends, reinforcing careful reasoning and precision.

As the grid fills correctly, rows and blocks that meet the rules are highlighted with a smooth green glow, offering subtle visual confirmation without interrupting concentration. When the puzzle is fully completed, the entire screen gently flashes green, a “well done” message appears, and the total time taken to solve the puzzle is displayed. A “NEXT” button then allows the player to immediately continue with a new challenge.

Time tracking is central to progression. Each round measures completion time accurately, and the best result, defined as the lowest recorded time greater than zero, is saved in the records. Only meaningful, completed sessions are recorded, ensuring that achievements reflect true performance.
