About this game

The arrows are tied in knots. Tap one and it slides out along its own body, the way its head points. Unless something's in front of it. Then it bumps, bounces back, and you lose a heart.

So you start looking before you tap: which one has to go first to open the way? That's the whole rule. The rest you'll figure out as you play.

■ 1,000 levels in four parts
- Part 1 (levels 1–200): every board fits on one screen, and the cells never get too small to tap. What gets harder is the order. This stretch is about thinking, not aiming.
- Parts 2–4 (levels 201–1,000): the boards outgrow the screen. Tap to zoom in, drag to look around. Zoomed in, the arrows are sized for your finger. Bigger boards get more generous target times.
- On big boards, press and hold an arrow to see the path it would take.
- Each new part opens with its own intro screen. A good moment to stretch your thumbs.
- After level 1,000, new boards keep coming.
- Replay any level you've cleared from the Levels screen.

■ When you're stuck
- 3 hints per level (4 on a few of the biggest boards). A hint finds the arrow that opens up the most of the board, lights it up, and pulls it out for you. Your combo survives.
- Out of hints? Watch an ad for one more, up to 3 per try.
- You get 3 to 5 hearts, depending on how many arrows there are. Clear 4 to 6 in a row without a miss and a lost heart comes back.
- Run out of hearts and, if an ad is ready, you can watch one to get 2 hearts back and pick up right where you left off. Once per try.
- Lose twice in a row after making real progress, and the next try gets a little easier: an extra heart, or on 5-heart boards, hearts that come back faster.

■ If you like to go fast
- Clear arrows within about a second of each other to build a combo. The screen flashes at x5, and on bigger boards at x10 and x15 too.
- The first x5 and the first x15 in each try earn you a hint.
- Every level has a target time. Going over doesn't fail you.
- Finish on time with no more than one slip per 12 arrows for 3 stars. Finish on time without a single slip and you get a Perfect. Continuing with an ad caps that clear at 1 star.
- Rather not race the clock? Hide the timer from the pause menu. While it's hidden, time doesn't count toward stars.

■ Easy on you
- New here? A three-board tutorial covers tapping, getting blocked and finding the order. No hearts are lost while you learn.
- Tap a little off and it picks the removable arrow right next to your finger, so fewer slips cost you a heart.
- The six arrow colors were picked to stay easy to tell apart and checked in red-green and blue-yellow color blindness simulations.
- Plays in portrait, one-handed.
- Sound, vibration and the combo display can each be turned off from the pause menu.
- Plays without an internet connection.

■ Ads and purchases
- From level 4 there's a banner at the bottom of the screen. The tutorial and levels 1–3 have none.
- Full-screen ads show up now and then, only between levels after a win. There are none until you've cleared 15 levels, and never after a loss or in the middle of a level.
- If you leave the app and come back much later, you may see one ad.
- Ads for a hint or a continue only play when you choose them.
- A one-time purchase removes the banner, full-screen and comeback ads, and adds 10 hints. Ads for a hint or a continue are still there whenever you want them.
- A pack of 15 hints is also available.

■ Privacy
- No account, no sign-up. Your progress is saved on your device; we don't run a server.
- Ads are served by Google AdMob and its partner Liftoff, which may use device information such as your advertising ID. Details are in the privacy policy.
- Where consent is required, you can change your choice anytime under Privacy settings in the pause menu.
- Privacy policy: https://mvgood21.github.io/en/privacy/arrow-knots/
- Questions or bugs: sugarmount21@gmail.com. Tell us the level number and what happened, and we'll look into it.
Tap, slide, untangle. Find the right order in 1,000 levels, then keep going.
