About this game

Sumizake is a calm, one-thumb ink puzzle in the spirit of sumi-e calligraphy. Every form is a figure of points joined by fine lines, drawn on cream washi paper -- and your task is to ink the whole thing in a single unbroken brushstroke. Trace every line exactly once, never lifting the brush and never going back over a line you have already inked, until the last stroke lands and the form stands finished in clean black ink.

The rules are simple enough to feel in seconds. Tap any point to dip the brush and set down the start of your stroke. Tap a point joined to the brush head by a line you have not yet inked, and that line fills with ink as the head moves on. A line can only be inked once, and a tap with no fresh line to follow simply leaves no mark. A live counter shows how many lines you have inked out of the total -- draw them all, in one continuous path, and the form is complete.

There is no timer, no score to chase down, and no way to lose. Sumizake is built for unwinding: quiet, deliberate, and unhurried, like a few minutes at the inkstone. Every form is traceable by construction, so a single-brushstroke solution always exists -- the only question is finding the right path through it. Tap UNDO to lift the brush back one line, or RESET to wash the page clean and begin the form anew.

A rising set of hand-built forms leads from a gentle opener to a densely laced figure, each with more points, more lines, and a tighter knot of a path to unpick. Progress is saved on your device as you ink them, one clean form at a time.

Sumizake plays fully offline. No ads, no accounts, no network -- just you, a sheet of paper, and a single line of ink to lay down without lifting the brush.
