Every property has a hundred things to remember. Plotstead remembers them for you.
Where the water shuts off. What model the heat pump is. When the ute's WOF runs out. Which trench the power cable runs down. Plotstead puts your land, buildings, vehicles and the pipes underneath onto an aerial photo of your place, with the manuals, photos, costs and maintenance attached to each one.

YOUR BOUNDARY, ALREADY DRAWN
Type your address when you set up and the parcel arrives from LINZ with its boundary on the map. Nothing to trace, no GPS unit involved.
EVERYTHING ON THE MAP
Drop a pin on a gate or a bore pump. Tap a line along a pipe run and the map counts the length as you draw. Trace a shape around a shed or a paddock and it tells you the area instead. Or walk the route and the app plots it. Reshape any of it later.
Nothing has to go on the map. Plenty of people run a car, its WOF and its insurance without a pin.
ONE RECORD PER THING
Photos, documents, serial numbers, the fields its type suggests and any of your own. Plus the note that actually helps: shuts off at the blue valve by the shed.
REMINDERS FOR THE DATES YOU HAVE TO KEEP
WOF, rego, insurance, rates, smoke alarm tests, septic pump-outs and the three-yearly pool barrier inspection. The New Zealand rules are built in, including the end of six-monthly WOFs in November 2026. Your phone's own calendar can subscribe to it.
A VEHICLE FROM ITS PLATE
Enter the rego and Plotstead fills in the make, model and year, and when the WOF and the rego run out. Both become reminders without you reading a windscreen.
WORK, BEFORE AND AFTER
A job is what needs doing, and afterwards what was done: who, when, what it came to, and the photos. Set one to repeat and ticking it off writes the next.
WHAT EVERYTHING COSTS
Log a repair against the thing that needed it, with the invoice number and who did it, then ask what that asset has cost you since you got it. Rent goes in the same way, beside what the place costs to run.
READY FOR THE ACCOUNTANT
Say once which things earn income and which are private, and everything fitted to them follows. At tax time it comes out already split into what earns, what needs apportioning and what is private, as a PDF or a spreadsheet.
ON PAPER, FOR THE TRADIE OR THE INSURER
A brief for one job: the map, the photos of the fault, what has been done before, and no prices. A brief for one asset. A dated register of the whole place, which is what an insurer asks for after a fire.
SHARE IT, AS NARROWLY AS YOU LIKE
Invite others as owner, editor or viewer, then narrow each one: what they see of the money, private things or not, which kinds of thing, whose work, and your contacts. So the groundskeeper gets the run of the place without the finances, and an accountant every cost and no assets at all.
EVERYONE YOU WOULD HAVE TO RING
The vet, the plumber, the well driller, the sparky. Their number, what they do, and the note worth keeping: ask for Dave, he knows where the septic runs.
WORKS OFFLINE
A full copy lives on the device, so with no signal you can still drop a pin, date a reminder, log a cost and read every note you have saved. It syncs when you are back in coverage. Photos are the exception: they need a connection, and the app holds them until there is one.

Export a tax year or the whole property as a spreadsheet or GeoJSON, on every plan including the free one. A lapsed subscription never locks you out.
