Sweep from 100 Hz (deep, audible bass) all the way up to 22,000 Hz with a single drag. A large live readout shows your exact frequency in Hz or kHz at all times. The logarithmic scale gives you fine-grained control at low pitches and fast sweeps in the high range — useful for finding the exact frequency your dog responds to.

A band pill below the display tells you at a glance whether you are in the low, mid, or high pitch range.

Output level — dial in-app volume from 5 % to 100 %, completely independently of your system volume. Combine both for precise, humane control without ever reaching dangerous levels.

Background play — enable this to keep the tone running after you lock the screen or switch apps. The tone always stops when you fully remove the app from Recents, so there are no surprises.

Haptics — a short vibration when playback starts or stops lets you feel the state change while you are focused on your dog.

HONEST ABOUT DEVICE LIMITS

Most Android phones cannot accurately reproduce frequencies above 16–18 kHz. Dog Whistle does not promise ultrasonic or "silent to humans" behavior — it generates the signal up to 22 kHz, and your speaker determines how much of that actually reaches the air. A clear note on this is shown on first launch so you know exactly what to expect from your hardware.

A one-time safety reminder appears before your first session. Start at low volume and increase only if needed. Loud or prolonged sound can harm the hearing of both dogs and humans.
