About this app

PureShield is a personal safety app for people enrolled in a supervised protection program. It is provided to you by the agency handling your case and works with SuperCom's PureMonitor monitoring center.

If the person you are protected from comes near you, PureShield alerts you straight away - on screen, on your lock screen, and with sound and vibration - and notifies the monitoring center at the same moment. You do not have to open the app or press anything for the alert to reach you.

WHAT PURESHIELD DOES

- Proximity alerts: two levels of warning, one when the monitored person is detected nearby by location and a stronger, immediate alert when they are in close range.
- Always-on protection: monitoring continues when the app is closed, the screen is off, or the phone is in your pocket.
- Chat with the monitoring center: a direct message thread, staffed 24/7, with a
notification when a reply arrives.
- Call list: the phone numbers your agency has set for you, each reachable with one tap.
- SOS: a deliberate slide-and-hold control that sends an emergency alert to the
monitoring center, with a short countdown so it cannot be sent by accident.
- Clear status at a glance: the home screen tells you whether protection is active, and tells you plainly if something needs your attention.
- Pause: temporarily pause proximity alerting for a set period when your agency's program allows it.

WHO IT IS FOR

PureShield only works for people already enrolled by a monitoring agency. You cannot create an account yourself. You sign in with the phone number your agency registered, confirmed by a one-time code sent by SMS. If your number is not enrolled, the app will tell you to contact your monitoring center.

PERMISSIONS AND WHY THEY ARE NEEDED

- Location, including in the background: PureShield compares your location with the monitored person's location so it can warn you and alert the monitoring center. An encounter can happen at any time, so this has to keep working when the app is closed or not in use.
- Bluetooth: detects the monitored person's tag at close range, which is what allows the fastest and most urgent alert.
- Notifications: delivers alerts and monitoring-center messages to your lock screen.
- Physical activity (optional): improves movement accuracy and saves battery.
PureShield works without it.

PRIVACY

PureShield collects location and safety events and shares them with the monitoring
agency responsible for your case - that sharing is the purpose of the app. There is no
advertising, no tracking across other apps or websites, and no sale of your data. Full details are in our privacy policy.
