I use this app to check the beach for nice swimming conditions, not surfing. One can basically use this app in reverse of what it's intended for. If Surf Cap reports that the beach is not good for surfing but otherwise has safe conditions, then it's probably good for swimming. Very useful app!

I love this app, but recently, your swell forecasts for certain spots in Northern CA are no longer accurate. The forecast will say flat when the waves are easily head high. This is my go to app, so I'm hoping this can be fixed. *Updating to 5 stars. Local forecast issue has been fixed. Thank you!

Thanks for the review Richard! We will be working on improving the forecast strategy for swells wrapping into certain sheltered spots. If you want to send us a message, we'd be stoked to know the specific spots you use, and focus on improving those forecasts.

What’s new

There are a number of updates in this release including better handling of sign in authorization, improvement in geo location handlings, and other small improvements.

We are always working on improving the app, so allowing auto updates will ensure you have the latest and greatest Surf Captain release.
