Nine calculators for Latvian salary, taxes and benefits in one app — in Latvian, Russian and English.

SALARY AND TAXES

• Net and gross, both directions. Enter what actually reaches your account and see the payroll figure, or start from the payroll figure and see what is left.
• Twelve tax periods, from 2016 to 2026, side by side. The same salary is calculated for every year at once, so you can see what the law really changed — including the two halves of 2022, when the rules changed mid-year.
• The whole breakdown, not just the final number: personal income tax (IIN), social contributions (VSAOI), the non-taxable minimum, the allowance for dependants, and what your work costs the employer.
• Special situations are part of the calculation, not an afterthought: working pensioners, the self-employed, disability, politically repressed persons, landlords, non-residents, and whether your tax book is filed with the employer.
• Microenterprise tax (MUN): 25% of turnover, with a warning as the 50 000 EUR VAT registration threshold comes into view.
• Vacation pay from the average earnings of the last six months — by days, by hours, or under summarised working time, with the minimum wage floor applied where it is due.

BENEFITS

• Parental benefit: maternity leave before and after the birth, then childcare benefit for one year or one and a half, including the reduced rate if you keep working.
• Unemployment benefit: the rate follows your insurance record and steps down month by month over the payment period.
• Sickness benefit (B sheet), including a sick leave that runs across the New Year, when two different non-taxable minimums apply to one absence.
• Paternity benefit for the working days of paternity leave.

FINANCE

• Loan: annuity payment, total overpayment, and a month-by-month schedule of principal, interest and remaining balance.
• Deposit: compound interest with monthly capitalisation and optional monthly top-ups, shown month by month.

WHERE THE NUMBERS COME FROM

Rates, thresholds and limits follow Latvian legislation published on likumi.lv and the published guidance of VID and VSAA. Every calculator states its assumptions on screen, so you can see which rules were applied to your figures rather than trusting a single number.
