Understanding the construction worker retirement deduction system
It is a customized welfare system for construction workers who had difficulty receiving severance benefits due to frequent movement to various sites due to the nature of the construction industry. Employers who subscribe to the retirement deduction report the work details of daily and temporary construction workers to the mutual aid association and pay the corresponding deduction contribution. This is a system designed to allow workers to receive “retirement deductions” from the mutual aid association when they retire from the construction industry.
Understanding construction worker retirement benefits
When a daily or temporary construction worker fully retires from the construction industry in the future, this is the amount paid by adding up the work history worked at a workplace that subscribes to the retirement deduction and adding a small amount of interest to the accumulated deduction contribution.
① When a construction worker with more than 252 days (12 months) of accumulation days completely retires or dies from the construction industry, or is over 60 years of age.
② You can apply for retirement deduction if you are over 65 years old or have died for less than 252 days.
Understand the scope of covered workers
Daily and temporary workers with a contract period of less than one year who work at a site subscribed to the retirement deduction are eligible for the retirement deduction.
※ Applies without limitation to the worker’s nationality, age, affiliation, and occupation.
