About this app

Read is a lightweight local file viewer for everyday Android handoffs. Use it when a PDF, text log, CSV, TSV, or XLSX file arrives from a messenger, email, file manager, download, scanner export, or office workflow and you want a quick local check before sharing, printing, uploading, or opening a heavier app.

Read focuses on a simple repeat loop:
1. Open the file you already have from Android's picker or share sheet.
2. Check a local preview, file route, priority signals, and handoff notes.
3. Choose the next step: share a summary, print, prepare an upload, write a support note, or open another tool when editing, OCR, signing, scanning, or conversion is needed.
4. Repeat with Open next file, session-only recent checks, and session-only starred checks.

Read does not scan with the camera, run OCR, edit PDFs, sign documents, certify files, repair damaged files, clean storage, sync to cloud, or automatically index all files on the device. It works with files the user explicitly opens or shares into the app.
