About this game
Blockmatic is a free, offline block puzzle with a twist most block puzzles don't have: bombs, gems and frost. 🧩💣
Drag glossy candy blocks onto an 8×8 grid, clear full rows and columns — then take on Ascent, where every level changes what "clear a line" means.
💥 Ascent — a weekly climb
A ladder of hand-built levels that keeps escalating. Clear a level to rise; slip up and you retry the same one, so your progress always sticks. A brand-new set lands every Monday, and the climb never caps — how high can you go?
• Bombs — a fuse is ticking on the board. Clear its line to defuse the bomb and bank a bonus before it goes off, or the run ends.
• Gems — some levels are a collect goal: gather every gem by clearing its line to win, instead of chasing a score.
• Frost — a frosted block resists clearing. A line through it still clears, but the block survives and cracks, thawing after a couple of clears.
🌌 Aurora Glass
A deep twilight world with a softly drifting aurora, frosted-glass panels and glossy candy blocks — an original look built for Blockmatic.
Three ways to play
• Ascent — the weekly ladder above, the one mode you can truly win.
• Endless — no timer, no pressure. Play at your own pace and chase your best.
• Time Attack — a fast-paced sprint with its own best score.
How it plays
• Drag pieces from the tray onto an 8×8 grid
• Fill any full row or column and it clears for points
• Multi-line clears score a bonus — chain them for big runs
• Clear lines on back-to-back placements and your combo bonus keeps climbing
• When nothing in the tray fits, the game ends. Beat your best and go again.
Three difficulty levels
• Easy — smaller blocks, room to breathe
• Normal — the classic balance
• Hard — bigger blocks and a 1.5× score multiplier
