You already know what you want to do. Read more. Run again. Sit still for ten minutes.
Starting isn't the problem. The problem is a month from now, on a rainy Tuesday, when you're tired and just don't have it in you. You miss a day, the streak breaks, you feel bad, and you quit.
Most habit trackers are built for your best days. Torchkeep is built for your worst.
It’s a habit tracker wrapped in a small adventure, designed specifically to keep you going when you’d normally give up.
Built for bad days
Most streaks die because they demand perfection. Torchkeep doesn't.
Every habit you track can have an Ember: a two-minute version of itself. Can't run three miles today? Just put your running shoes on. That's your Ember. Your streak stays alive because showing up is the actual habit.
If you miss a day entirely, a Ward steps in and covers for you. You can't buy Wards with real money, that would defeat the whole point. You earn them just by trying.
Tie it to what you already do
Habits (we call them Runes) work best when attached to routines you already have. Group them into a Ritual: "After I pour my morning coffee, I will read one page." Do your ritual, and your campfire stays lit.
Carved in stone
Research suggests it takes about 66 days for a new behavior to become automatic. Do something for 66 days in Torchkeep, and we carve it into stone next to your fire. You're done. It's part of you now.
A mirror, not a fantasy
Once a week, Torchkeep looks at what you actually did and gives you a title. Warrior if you focused on your body. Guardian for taking care of others. Sage, Ranger, Monk, or Bard. It’s not a character you pick at the start; it’s just a reflection of who you were this week.
A world to explore
To make the day-to-day less dry, we added some things to find. Gather spirit wood, owl feathers, and dragon scales. Craft gear. Earn coins to change how your fire looks. But you can never buy a level or a streak. The numbers only mean something because you actually earned them.
The details that matter
• Home-screen widget: Tap it to keep your fire lit. You don't even need to open the app.
• Offline first: No signal? It works fine. It logs locally and syncs whenever you're back online.
