Prepare for the civics part of the US citizenship test — the oral exam a USCIS officer gives at your naturalization interview. CivicsReady carries every question from both official lists and drills you the way the test actually works — you answer out loud, in your own words, from memory.
WHICH CIVICS TEST YOU WILL TAKE
Two tests are in force. If you filed Form N-400 before October 20, 2025, you take the 2008 civics test: 100 questions, up to 10 asked, 6 correct to pass. If you filed on or after that date, you take the 2025 civics test: 128 questions, up to 20 asked, 12 correct to pass. Enter your filing date once and the app studies the right list. The 65/20 special-consideration set (20 marked questions, 10 asked, 6 to pass) is included for both.
PRACTICE THE WAY THE INTERVIEW WORKS
• Free recall, not multiple choice. Say your answer out loud, then type it: the app checks it against the official wording and accepts the same variations the official list allows.
• A mock interview with the real rules: the same number of questions, the same pass mark, and the same early stop — the officer stops as soon as the result is settled. No timer, because the real test has none.
• Hear every question read aloud with your phone's English voice.
REMEMBER MORE WITH LESS STUDYING
• Spaced repetition (FSRS) schedules each question for just before you would forget it.
• A short explanation and a memory hook for every question.
• A readiness estimate for today and for your interview date, and a forecast of what will have faded by then.
• Your weakest questions, your mistakes, and everything you have never seen — one tap away.
ANSWERS THAT CHANGE
Some answers — the current President, your senators, your governor, the Speaker of the House and a few others — change with elections and appointments, and you must name the official serving on the day of your interview. This app has no internet connection, so it does not guess. It lists those questions, shows you the official page to check, and lets you record and confirm your own answer.
EN ESPAÑOL
The whole app is available in Spanish, and the 2008 list uses the official USCIS Spanish translation. Questions are always shown in English as well, because the interview is in English.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Works completely offline. No account, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no network calls of its own. Your progress stays on your phone; you can export it to a file or delete it at any time.
ONE PURCHASE, NOT A SUBSCRIPTION
The first questions are free, with every feature. The full list is a single one-time purchase.
