System Design Tycoon is a learning game that helps you practise system design by building software architectures for real-world client contracts.

Start as an aspiring system designer and grow your career by accepting client jobs, reading requirements, choosing architecture components, linking them together, and submitting your design for scoring.

Each contract gives you a client request, objectives, budget, difficulty level, and business context. Your job is to design a solution that balances reliability, scalability, security, cost, and simplicity.

Build architectures using components such as users, web servers, app servers, databases, caches, queues, storage, APIs, and other system design building blocks. Connect components to show how traffic and data move through your system.

As you complete contracts, you earn money and experience, unlock harder work, improve your career level, access training, gain certifications, collect achievements, and climb the leaderboard.
