If you've never used an electronic tuner before, it's recommended that you watch some tutorials on youtube first (some tutorials will be included in the app in a future release). If used improperly you risk breaking strings on your violin and that would make us feel bad :(

Ratings and reviews

This tuning app is really super for parents/beginners who have no idea really about violins. Really love it that you can select the string you want to tune and then it tells you you are too low or too high. It also shows you the pegs you need to tune the string with and indicates the correct string. There are other apps for more advanced students, but this is so so good for parents of young children for example.

Just getting started on violin and this app makes tuning SO MUCH easier than another tuner I have. Clear, simple, accurate and sensitive. I love the auto string detector option. I only wish it had a metronome, but not a big deal. Grest options to adjust tune frequency and other presets. Really happy with this app.

I wrote a glowing review on this earlier this morning but sadly I'll have to take off 4 of the previous stars. I thought my violin was nicely in tune as I used the app. However everytime i went to double check it( in ess than 3 mins after), it said i was longer in tune!?! I have an intermediate level stentor violin so this should not be happening. I tried another app and it showed this one to be slightly inaccurate but more importantly confirmed my violin was still in tune. Please sort this out!
