Tab2Fret is a practice player for guitarists and bassists who use their own tablature files. Import Guitar Pro, MIDI, MusicXML/MXL, or clear text-based PDF tablature, then follow the score and fretboard during playback.
SYNCHRONIZED PLAYBACK
• Audio, tablature, playhead, current-note details, and fretboard follow one playback position
• Current notes are highlighted on the fretboard, with upcoming notes outlined
• Authored notation preserves supported techniques, including bends, hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides, harmonics, palm mutes, rests, rhythm, and ties
• Guitar and bass parts retain their authored tuning and string count
PRACTICE CONTROLS
• Seek directly to any section of the song
• Adjust playback speed while preserving pitch
• Set A and B points to repeat a section
• Preview notes while playback is paused
• Use a metronome synchronized to the song and practice speed
• Switch to fullscreen for a focused tab and fretboard view

HOW TO USE
• Search the web or use a tablature provider such as Ultimate Guitar to find a downloadable Guitar Pro tab
• Download the Guitar Pro, MIDI, MusicXML/MXL, or clear text-based PDF file that the provider makes available to you
• Import the file into Tab2Fret and select the part you want to display
• Press play and follow the synchronized score and fretboard
• Seek, change speed, or set an A–B loop to practice a section
