About this app

TabForge is a tablature editor for guitar and bass, built for your phone. Write, edit and hear your music note by note. No account needed: your projects stay on your device.

WRITE
• Multi-track tab editor for guitar and bass, with fretboard note entry
• Whole notes to 64ths, dotted notes, ties, rests and triplets
• Tempo and time-signature changes, repeats with 1st/2nd endings, section markers
• Copy, cut, paste, undo and redo
• Add bars at the end with one tap, or just keep writing: your next note creates the bar

• Open Guitar Pro 4, 5, 7 and 8 files (.gp4, .gp5, .gp) and TabForge files (.tfx), techniques included: slides, hammer-ons, bends, vibrato, harmonics and more
• Open them straight from your file manager
• Export to TabForge (.tfx), Guitar Pro 7/8 (.gp) and MIDI (.mid)

READ AND PERSONALIZE
• Distraction-free reading mode (hides the editing controls) and three score sizes

PRIVATE AND OFFLINE
• Write and play without an internet connection
• No account, no sign-in. Projects stay on your device unless you export or share them

Everything above is free. The free version includes up to 10 projects and 3 tracks per project; projects with more tracks, such as many Guitar Pro band files, open read-only. Pro adds:

• Playback speed from 50% to 150% for practice
