Tabres KDS is a free kitchen display system (KDS) app for restaurants, cafes and pubs. It turns an Android tablet or phone into a live kitchen order screen. New orders appear on the screen the moment they are placed. Cooks tap once to start a dish, mark it ready, or clear the order. No paper tickets. No shouting across the kitchen.

What is a kitchen display system?
A kitchen display system is a screen in your kitchen that replaces paper tickets. Tabres KDS shows every open order for one branch: each dish, who it is for, and how long it has waited. It is the kitchen side of Tabres, the free restaurant management platform.

Where do the orders come from?
Orders come from Tabres POS, where your waiters and cashiers take them. They also come from your Tabres QR menu, where guests order from their own phone at the table. Dine-in, pickup, delivery and self-service orders all arrive on the same board. Nothing to send by hand.

🍳 Live order board
• Three tabs: Board, Pass and Recall. Board shows what the kitchen is cooking now. Pass shows the orders ready to go out. Recall shows the orders cleared in the last 30 minutes.
• One big button on each ticket: Start, Mark ready, Bump or Hand out. Tap one dish to move only that dish forward.
• Made a mistake? Tap Undo, or bring the order back from Recall.
• A NEW label and a sound for every new order. You can turn the sound off in your branch settings.

⏱️ Fair timers
• The timer starts when your kitchen accepts the order, not when the guest placed it.
• A ticket turns amber after 5 minutes, then red and blinking after 8 minutes.
• The top of the screen counts how many orders are late.
• Timers use the server clock, so a wrong time on the tablet does not matter.

🔥 Stations and dish totals
• Filter by station: Grill, Fry, Bar, or any station you set up. Each station shows how many dishes it still has to make.
• The all-day count shows how many portions of each dish the kitchen still has to make, biggest first.
• Allergens and kitchen notes are on every ticket. Allergy warnings are shown in red.

🖨️ Print kitchen tickets
• Print to a thermal receipt printer over Bluetooth, USB or Wi-Fi. ESC/POS printers with 58, 72 or 80 mm paper.
• Print the whole ticket, only the new items, or only the items for your station.
• Turn on auto-print in your branch settings, and every new order prints on its own.
• Kitchen tickets show no prices.

👩‍🍳 One screen, every shift
• A manager sets up the screen once.
• Each cook starts a shift with a PIN from the staff list. No email, no password.
• End the shift with one tap. The next cook signs in, and the screen stays set up.

🌍 In your team's language
• Multi-Language UI: Arabic, Azerbaijani, Dutch, English, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Turkish. Arabic reads right to left.
• Dark and light mode. The app follows your device theme. Switch with one tap.
• Works on tablets and phones. Turn the tablet, and the board turns with it. The screen stays on while the app is open.

📶 Built for kitchen Wi-Fi
• If the connection drops, the screen keeps the orders it already has and shows "Reconnecting".
• When it is back online, it loads the whole board again. Nothing is lost, because orders are saved online, not on the screen.
• You need an internet connection to move a dish forward.

🔒 A kitchen board only shows food
No prices, no totals, no payment details, no phone numbers and no addresses. The screen shows only the order, the dishes, the table or name, and the times.
