About this app

TACLIIM brings a madrasah into one app: live lessons, your class group, the
Qur'an, and the books your teacher sets.


FOR STUDENTS

• Join your class with a code or QR from your teacher
• Take part in live video lessons
• Ask questions in the class group by message, voice note or photo
• Read the Qur'an, page for page as it appears in print
• Download books and pick up where you left off
• Tell your teacher why you missed a lesson, without having to catch them


ATTENDANCE THAT REFLECTS THE WHOLE LESSON

During a lesson the app asks whether you are still there. It appears on screen
with a countdown, and one tap confirms it.

Because it happens during the lesson and not at the start, the register shows
who stayed, not only who arrived. Checks are timed by the server and spread
across the lesson, so nobody can predict when the next one comes.


FOR TEACHERS

• Create classes and share a join code or QR
• Run lessons with video and voice for the whole class
• See the register for each lesson, and who answered which check
• Read and respond to the reasons students give for missing a lesson
• Create study groups inside a class, and set competitions between classes
• Manage everything from the web as well as the phone


THE QUR'AN

The complete Mushaf, laid out page for page the way it is printed rather than
reflowed to fit a screen. Pinch to bring the page closer. Seven page colours
for reading in different light.

Bookmarks and your place are kept as you read, and search finds a verse by its
words. A Somali translation sits alongside the Arabic. Once a page is
downloaded it opens without a connection.

Your bookmarks, your last-read page and anything you search for are yours.
They are never shown to a teacher, a group, or anyone else.


A LIBRARY

Books your school adds, downloaded to your phone and read inside the app.
Each one remembers the page you stopped on. Books in several volumes appear
as one, so a set does not fill the shelf.


BUILT FOR CLASSES THAT MEET ONLINE

• Messages arrive while the app is closed
• A notification says only which group has a new message — never who sent it
or what it says, because a lock screen is visible to whoever holds the phone
• Photos have their location removed before they are stored
• Voice notes for when typing Arabic is slower than saying it


PRIVACY

You can delete your account, and everything in it, from inside the app at any
time. It happens immediately.
