TalkFix — Learn English and expand your vocabulary while browsing and watching.
Learn new words in short lessons in the app, then encounter them again on websites and videos you watch anyway. Instead of memorizing and forgetting, the words come back to you throughout the day — in real context — until they stick.
How it works
1. Learn new words Short lessons with flashcards, translation, voice reading and example sentences. A few minutes a day is enough.
2. Encounter them while browsing Browse any website through the built-in browser. TalkFix replaces Hebrew words with English words you have already learned, according to your personal level. You read as usual — and your brain absorbs the word in a real sentence.
3. Encounter them in video Watching videos in video apps (like YouTube)? A floating pane displays translation, simplification of complex subtitles and voice reading — directly above the screen.
4. See your progress A learning graph that shows how many new words have entered your vocabulary, how much you have actually been exposed to them, and which words have already stuck.
Why it works
Spaced repetition in a natural context is the most effective way to remember words long-term. TalkFix doesn’t ask you for more time in a day — it uses the time you already spend in front of the screen.
Accessibility and privacy permission
To enable learning outside of the internal browser, TalkFix uses the AccessibilityService API as a core functionality of the app.
Why it’s required: The accessibility service is used solely to read the subtitle text displayed on the screen in real time in the player app. This is what makes it possible to display the translation layer and replace words.
What we don’t do: The accessibility service does not save, record, or send personal information or texts from the screen to external servers. All processing is done locally on your device only.
