The Difference Engine App delivers captions to mobile devices for performances and events which are using the Difference Engine system – an innovative access tool from Talking Birds Theatre Company. The system uses a Wireless Local Area Network to broadcast captions and enable show feedback via a webpage. The Captions and System Feedback options will only function when a device is connected to a Difference Engine network at a performance or event. (The system will normally be active at least 20 minutes before an event begins) The App includes a guide for connecting to a Difference Engine system, and a feedback function so users can provide feedback on the technology and/or the event attended.
